We have met with over 10 interior designers, and each of them for at least three rounds of review, as my husband and I are certain that this will be our final home. We invested significant time and effort in finding the most suitable designer. We were thrilled to discover ABCD and specifically Estee Chew. I prefer a bright (super bright) home and do not like dark themes. Initially, I was surprised to see that many of Estee’s past projects featured darker tones. During our first meeting, we didn't think much of it, but by the second meeting, we were truly impressed. She was incredibly well-prepared, discussing different materials in detail and even addressing electrical planning and internet cabling right away. In our third meeting, she impressed us again with two proposals, complete with detailed and transparent quotations. Having met many designers, I found none as prepared or as clear about costs. We had heard countless horror stories about renovation nightmares, and we were determined to avoid any issues. While Estee’s pricing wasn't the lowest I have to admit —my husband meticulously compared costs line by line—I felt confident in her abilities. After our third meeting, we narrowed it down to three suppliers and requested site inspections. Estee arranged everything swiftly. After seeing the workmanship, I was certain she was the right choice. Finding the right interior designer is crucial. Many people focus on company reviews rather than individual designers. I admit I was hesitant at first since I couldn't find any reviews of ABCD or Estee's work online. Several designers told us it was impossible to complete our full renovation (1,054 sqft, including extensive hacking, rewiring, and plumbing) within 2.5 months, but Estee made it happen. My neighbors have praised her work and expressed amazement at how quickly she delivered results. Her actual work delivery is almost 95% of what is in the 3D mock up she shared. I do have to also admit that the house is not 100% perfect but I’m super happy with the outcome and definitely worth the money spent. I have received so many compliments of my new home and have recommended a few of my colleagues Estee. I am so glad to have found the right designer.
