We met about 6 IDs onsite to share with them about our renovation requirements, Alloy had already impressed us with his experiences and advises. After receiving the Quotations, we shortlisted 3 IDs and decided to visit them at their showroom. Once again Alloy stood out in terms of his proposed designs.The ideas he shared, me and my husband was awed. Not only did he really listened to what we want. He was able to provide us with better ideas that we never thought of. This is not the first time we are doing renovation for our properties, so we know how to tell who is a good ID the moment we saw one. And we were so glad that Alloy lives up to our expectations.

From the moment we saw the 3D design, we knew we got the right guy. Alloysius always provided very clear explanation of all his plans. His decisions were always made with sound reasoning, which balanced both the aesthetic and practical aspects of the outcome. Throughout the entire process he was patient to listen, receptive to feedback, helpful to provide constructive advice, never pushy to make us overspend and ensured that we were always kept in the loop of any updates. He often went the extra mile to provide us with help we needed. The end-product was a true reflection of his brilliance and efforts, which certainly surpassed our expectations. Alloysius’ detailed planning and dedication stood out among all the many IDs we approached. He provided reassurance to us and is extremely responsible as well as responsive. He communicates clearly and was very thorough with his work. He displays tremendous effort in delivering what we wanted and is not afraid to be bold in his proposals and willing to amend his designs to suit our preference. After sales services is top notch.

Prior to engaging Alloysius, we've heard horror stories about IDs who go MIA, uncooperative IDs, home owners who had to top-up their budget because the ID under-quoted, etc. Hence, we were pretty careful (prayed alot too!) in selecting the right one who could fit our needs. As with any renovation, hiccups are inevitable, but we soon realised that Alloy readily came with solutions to help resolve them, and put us at ease. Eventually, whenever there were any flat issues and we weren't sure if he could help, we asked him anyways. One such issue was when the curtain guy that we engaged insisted that the curtain colour installed was pink, when what we saw was orange! We did not have prior proof of the colour we selected, but Alloy stepped in to resolve it for us. Alloy is very proactive and honest too. When we had a design suggestion that may look out of place, he would advise not to do it (when he could easily have said yes to make the extra buck). We had a budget in mind, and he made good efforts to keep within it. All in all, moving into a new home is a major milestone in anybody's life. Having a good ID like Alloysius, certainly helped us transit smoothly into this new phase of our lives.

I am not that kind of customer that writes reviews to earn rebates or points, and definitely not one that writes without any kind of incentive. However for this instance, I am extremely satisfied with the overall services provided by Interior Genesis. Alloysius is the designer / main point of contact, while Darius is his assistant. I would like to share my experience in these main points 1. Pricing 1. I have done my own research against other IDs and direct contractors, and pricing wise is definitely very fair and reasonable. Some contractors might quote a low initial price, and do a higher mark up during the add-on requests, but this wasn’t the case for Interior Genesis. 2. I initially planned to look for director contractors for every major area like, Carpentry, Hacking and Demolition, Wet works, Plumbing, Electrician, thinking that I will be save to lot more for my house renovation. However after looking at Interior Genesis’ price, the pricing given is really not much different from market rate, and you save a lot of time and headaches trying to coordinate everyone. If you are inexperienced, it will be a nightmare. 2. Workmanship 1. Carpentry: Really good overall, even to the smallest details of cupboard rollers, door soft close hinges and polishing of sharp cupboard corners. 2. Tiling: Really no complaints. The head-worker really helps to plan out the best tile arrangement such that it will not lined up in aseptically ugly manner. It could’ve easily gone wrong, but really thankful for it. One bad point was the side skirtings are a little sharp, which we noticed, and they rectified it immediately. 3. Painting: Had feedback to them that it can be done better. There were areas that could’ve been patched, removing of screws etc, and could’ve done so without needing us to remind. Overall, not a very big concern and it can be easily fixed. 4. Electrician: Quality of work is not very good and reliable by the worker, as lighting arrangements were not up to standard and the worker doesn’t really have the customers’ interest in mind. I last heard from Interior Genesis that they have changed their electrician contractor. 3. Attitude and Responsiveness 1. Undeniably, Interior Genesis’ attitude and responsiveness is the main reason why we chose them over other contractors (apart from pricing). You can message them late at night, or during weekends, they still respond to your requests and solve your problems. This is something I really cherish especially its my first home renovation, with no experience in it. The last thing you would want is to have a contractor that cares more about his other projects and getting customers, then neglecting your house project. 2. Interior Genesis also offers help to coordinate with any other contractors that you engaged, perhaps for windows grilles, curtains, plumber, equipment deliveries etc. They do so without asking any service fee, and even provide feedback on how you can do it better, out of pure goodwill for you. 3. Whenever we found any unsatisfactory area, Interior Genesis is always sure to fix them without any charges, and will not give stupid reasons for it, then try to brush away as if it cant be solved or not their fault. 4. Lastly, as I am someone who prefers to come up with my own design and concept, Interior Genesis really helped me in sharing areas that I overlooked, and even helped drew up the 3D drawing. And they do all these extra customer service without charging, but really just wanting to do a proper job for us.

We first met Alloysius through a referral from our property agent friend. All together we had compared with other three IDs and he stood out in terms of his proposal and ideas. We were so glad to have chosen him as our renovation journey was a very enjoyable one. Alloy not only demonstrated professionalism in his service, he also understanding our needs and requirements, placing them into consideration during the whole renovation phrase. The overall experience was really pleasant and commendable. We definitely will recommend Alloysius to our friends and relatives.

Ever lousy ID talk big only. Come to my place, talk so much, promise this promise that, but in the end everything also cannot. Ask for my budget then say cannot do, but never even give proper quote for me to see. How I know cannot do if never quote? Sketch drawing also never do. I ask so simple thing, just want basic sketch to see the layout, they also never draw for me. How to decide anything without seeing the design first? Ask so much money but no quality at all. Talk like expert but action zero. Waste my time only. Not recommend.
