“Bad Experience with ID”
We chose Steven from Interior designer to do up our whole place due to a friend’s recommendation. However it was disaster from the get go. There were no proper 3D drawings done for our place, we had to keep reminding him to provide us the drawings before hacking commenced, but we didnt get it, so we still went ahead to commence to avoid further delay. Throughout the whole reno journey, we were there more than he actually went down. No proper updates were given, we were the ones that were constantly sharing pics with him and getting him to rectify if there were any issues. I know some of the ID’s out there go above and beyond by assisting their clients choose the materials or recommending what would be the suitable color, material but Steven never helped us in anything at all. In fact we were the ones that chose every single design/ items on our own without his input as showed quite clearly he did not want to have anything to do with helping us have a smooth reno journey.Even all the toilet/kitchen fixtures were chosen by us. I have only heard horror stories of ID online but never thought we would encounter it ourselves. It was the most stressful journey me and my partner had to endure due to the bad service that was rendered by Steven. And i would never recommend him to anyone at all
He never proposed any design at all. It was all out idea and he just executed it. Well any contractor could have done it, instead of paying exorbitant fees for an ID.
Overall workmanship is average, we had him to redo most of our carpentry edges as he was rushing to handover our place without even checking the finished workmanship on his own. Some of the caninet doors couldn’t close properly etc
This was completely trash in our opinion. Everytime we had some issues with the work, he would get annoyed and angry at us from bringing it up. He clearly had no sense of work ethics and working professionally to address our concerns
For the price we paid, we definitely expected better quality of work and overall professionalism but it was nothing like that.
