Just got keys for new unit and the TC position is really weird for us. Anyone relocated their toilet bowl before? Like to an adjacent wall

Yes, it’s possible. You can install a wall-mounted toilet, and the pipes can be rerouted. But you’ll need to build a false wall to conceal the piping, which will reduce your toilet space.

One potential problem is if there’s a choke that can’t be cleared by normal methods. If that happens and the pipes need to be replaced, you’ll have to hack the wall to access them.

For landed property, you can relocate it. For condos and HDB flats, it’s unlikely. Otherwise, you would need to work with your neighbour downstairs to relocate the sewage pipe

Landed property confirm can.

Condo and HDB flats a bit hard, 'cause sewage pipe location cannot anyhow shift.

Also must check the pipe offset from the wall. Cannot just buy any toilet bowl without checking.

better don't anyhow change, consult a certified plumber first. later got problems up upstairs or downstairs neighbours and HDB need to intervene will become massing headache.

Your ID or plumber will advise if relocation is feasible. If moving the toilet bowl is possible, they will handle the necessary HDB approval for you. It’s best to consult a reputable ID or contractor.

You can also do a basic check yourself—look at where the existing bowl connects to the sewage pipe. If the new position makes it hard or impossible to reach that same sewage outlet, then relocation likely isn’t an option. Even if the bowl seems like it can be moved, the plumber cannot shift the floor sewage outlet, as that would impact the flat below yours.

You can also consider moving the toilet door if possible vs. moving the toilet bowl, probably a much easier task without approval requirements.
