I'm the homeowner behind the review titled "Perfect Dream Home Come True by Zoey Lok". Now one year into staying at our dream home, something unexpected happened and prompted me to write this follow-up. Unfortunately, the backbone LAN cable connecting my fiber Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and main Wi-Fi router recently became faulty. That's the 20-meter CAT 7 factory sealed cable I bought from Sim Lim square and passed to Zoey during the renovation. It was buried deep in the false ceiling and passes through HDB beams, which makes replacing it virtually impossible. Fortunately, just minutes after I called Zoey last Saturday about my dire situation, Zoey was able to retrieve archived mid-reno photos and confirmed that she and her electrician Wah had the foresight to have layed a redundant LAN cable next to mine during the renovation. Have you seen a stationary LAN cable becomes faulty? I haven't, throughout my 25-year career starting as a network engineer. Yet all thanks to Zoey and Wah to be prepared for the least expected, saved me an endless headache and thousands of dollars to cut open the false ceiling and re-lay the backbone cable. From my story I hope you would appreciate the amount of foresight, experience, attention to detail, information management, and post-reno support that make Zoey and Wah standout and shine brightly. My wife and I decided to renovate our 10-year old HDB EA more than a year ago. It should be our dream home for the next 10, if not 20, years. We invited more than a dozen IDs onsite and short-listed two. We knew from the start that the key to success is with the ID him/her-self who actually oversees the entire project, and not so much with the size / branding of the ID firm. Zoey @ Moon Concept was not our first choice because the quote from the other ID, let's call him "P", was a hairline cheaper. Next, 3D modeling with the same requirements was tasked to both IDs and that's when we realized that the difference in work quality and speed was huge between Zoey and P. While Zoey consistently hit every target while accommodating all the changes we raised, P kept delaying deliverables and making mistakes. Mind you that P is not a random ID on the street, but someone who stood out from the large pool we had interviewed, and even brought us onsite to one of his past clients's house. It didn't take long before we decided to fire P and treat his 3D modeling as sunk cost -- Here are two tips for you: 1. 3D modeling should cost less than $5K, i.e., had we stood our ground firmer with P and not accepting some of the auxillary services he proposed, we wouldn't have to pay $5K for the virtual works; 2. if any ID drafts a 3D modeling contract that allows only 3 changes, take it with a big grain of salt -- the reality is as much as I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, we still made numerous changes during the 3D modeling phase. Usually a $5K loss even before the project starts is not something to boast about, but for us it turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made -- over the next 3 months of our full-scale renovation, i.e., hack everything, including floor, ceiling, walls, re-partition rooms, relocate shower area and toilet bowl, Zoey and her team (Sam the tiler, Heng the carpenter, and Hua the electrician) delivered an impeccable project. After the renovation, we engaged a popular defect checker. Even the defect checkers told us that after seeing hundreds of houses, BTO, condo, landed, you name it, they found our house's craftsmanship to be top notch :) 

Zoey is a very experienced and responsible designer who will patiently discuss the details with the client, She is able to explain clearly and made communicate easy with me, checking everything carefully in details and the final design fully meets the requirements. The stage of renovation is also well planned in advance, each type of work is arranged reasonably, the construction is fast, and there are timely feedback on problems. My house is 1819SQF. It only took 2 months to decorate which is exactly according to the schedule. I am very satisfied and happy with the renovation! I would definitely recommend her to my relatives n friends. Thanks.

We decided to settle with Zoey after numerous consultations with other ID firms. We appreciate Zoey’s attention to detail and her ability to understand the concept that we had in mind. Being first time home owners, we lack the knowledge on materials and processes. We had so many questions and Zoey was very patient and quick to address all our queries and concerns. During the design process, we were quite fickle minded and our designs and materials kept changing. However, Zoey was very understanding and even made multiple trips with us to the suppliers to choose materials. On the overall, the whole renovation process was a breeze and according to schedule. Workmanship was great (esp the carpentry) and we were very pleased with the end result. Great thanks to Zoey and her team. Highly recommendable and will definitely use them again next time.

My apartment was a very old resale unit. Zoey was able to conceptualise and redesign the layout to meet the meets of my family. Our apartment has no storeroom but she is able to think of how to utilise the space so that we can leverage the available space and yet look beautiful and seamless. No space was wasted in our kitchen - it’s is a smart kitchen! She understood our needs and designed the cabinets with these in mind. She was very patient with us as we chose the tiles of both our kitchen and bathe room for a Long time! She even helped us to source for the last packets of our bathroom tiles!! Our project was very challenging as it’s a very old walk up but she was very merticulous. The workmanship is also excellent! I also commend the tilers as our project was so tough with a lot of demands in how it is to be layed out. If you see our before and after photos you will be amazed! I strongly recommend Briey!

Zoey is very patient and attentive,can see that she is very passionate in creating designs, at the first meeting she tried her best to understand my needs, and the second appointment she proposed the design that is what i actually expected therefore i committed to hand my house to her for the renovation.The project running quite smoothly, i don't really need to follow up with her and the renovation is done on time, so far the whole experience is hassle free, thumbs up for the good works!

Zoey is a very responsible ID. She works very efficient and reply very fast. That’s why I recommend her if you need a fast responding and work efficient ID. My renovation work was only within 2 months for 5 rooms HDB renovation. That even exceed my expectation. During design stage, I made quite a lot of changes even after the decision of final design but she still willing to help you to solve the problem. For budgeting, the price is same as what quotation stated except you add more requirements afterward. The price is definitely not a budget option comparing to others but it’s definitely worth it. For workmanship, tiling, plumbing, and wood work also quite nice. The only drawback is the strong smell of glue inside all cabinets after renovation. Hopefully you can source other more eco friendly material. Touch up work and after renovation service are also great. She still response actively even you made the last payment. Really thank you for your effort!

What truly impressed us was how accurately the final outcome matched the 3D renderings - down to the smallest detail. Zoey has a keen eye for colour palettes and design elements; her recommendations consistently elevated the overall aesthetic. We highly recommend future clients to trust her creative instincts. One of Zoey’s greatest strengths is her ability to manage people and processes. She has a remarkable way of getting vendors to deliver exactly what’s needed, without compromise. From liaising with neighbours regarding renovation disruptions to making sure every deadline was met, she handled it all with professionalism and ease. If you’re looking for an interior designer who is dependable, detail-oriented and capable, we cannot recommend Zoey highly enough. She made the entire renovation journey effortless - and the results speak for themselves.

Zoey was recommended to us by a friend, and she has been great to work with. She was very responsive and helpful throughout the renovation process. The design she proposed after discussions with us was elegant and met our needs (and budget). Whenever we changed our mind she was also very accommodating and got back to us quickly with the updated plans. The renovation process was quick with minimum fuss. All in all, a great choice.

Our family decided to engage Zoey from Briey Interior after reviewing several Interior designers. We appreciated her attention to detail and design flair as seem from past projects and felt assured that she could execute the Contemporary theme we wanted. We had a tight deadline to meet as we had sold our old flat and needed to hand over the keys soon. In addition, the pandemic posed a further challenge due to manpower shortages. Zoey demonstrated great planning plus coordination and updated us daily on the work progress. She was also flexible enough to accommodate to changes when the situation arose. We were very pleased that she adhered to our tight timeline and completed our complicated renovation works within eight weeks. In summary, the finished look exceeded our expectations through the tasteful selection of materials, fittings and colour scheme, and there was a consistent theme throughout our home. The installed downlights and cove lights also made our home feel warm and cozy. Also, the carpentry workmanship (bedroom wardrobes, platform bed, kitchen cabinets, pantry, bathroom cabinets, bomb shelter cover-up, etc.) was impeccable. Zoey was also able to fulfill our challenging demands which include customised carpentry to integrate seamlessly with the full-height study room cabinets we ordered. The server room was also cleverly designed to conceal all the ethernet cables, amplifier, TV Box, NAS, and networking equipment, with a separate compartment to house our camera box. We are thankful for her hard work and effort in realising our dream home!
