Butler Interior

We decided to go with Butler because the proposal we received from that company was the most appealing out of the three different Interior designers we approached. Our interior designer Alvin provided great suggestions and worked towards meeting our needs. He also managed to complete the renovation ahead of the time scheduled, while sticking to the budget. He was trustworthy, easy to approach, very cooperative, and took appropriate actions immediately when a concern was expressed from our side. He communicated in an effective way with us through a Whatsapp group chat that we added him to and responded promptly to all our queries. The service and workmanship was of outstanding quality due to the well-experienced workers employed. We strongly recommend others looking for a designer to engage with Butler Interiors.

We first saw Rayner and we were quite impressed by the way he dress and the way he introduce himself to us and from that moment we were confident that he will be able to produce and understand what we want for our home renovation. Before start of renovation, Rayner educated us how and what we should be looking for as a first time home owner, and we really appreciate his efforts. From the beginning to the end of renovation, he has also been very on time to update us every day the schedule. Throughout the renovation, Rayner also took his time to bring us to choose and purchase our home lighting and home accessories, and even when we told him that JB may be a good place, he did not even reject the idea and brought us there too. Till the end of hand over, Rayner really did his best to hand over the project as scheduled and everything we discuss have also been nicely done. There are nothing to complain about this guy and despite that we are now no longe customer and interior designer, we have become friend and we will continue to introduce our friends and family to him as we really know he can do the job well.

Amongst all the interior designers that we met, Randy stood up in terms of initiative and ernesty. He keeps us on schedule and is bold to recommend ideas that would best maximise our troublesome layout. It was very clear to us that he cracked his brain to come out with multiple layout permutations that would best meet our needs while not compromising his aesthetic sense. Randy communicates very clearly and confidently. He responds promptly. To someone who needs help to walk this renovation journey, he is a god-send.

So a seemingly decent renovation job turn out to have lots of problems. Informed my designer about the floating vinyl floor problem since day 1 but told it was only 'air' trap inside and it'll go away after few months. But it still has the exact problem 1 year later. Contacted them but was told they couldn't get hold of the flooring company to back their warranty. Also got wrongly advised to install a single panel bathroom window that can be see-through from the unit above. The painting job is also a pain to deal with. Be prepared to supervise and check the painting work yourself if you're to engage them for renovation work. Lots of touch up area that was left undone.
