Dan Avenue

Today is our official opening for our learning centre and it is made possible by Howie and Jamie. We met Howie by chance at an ID event at JustCo Marina Square. A quick intro and brief sharing on what we needed and Howie was able to give us a quote on the spot, "we can keep it at $X and below, and can be done within 1 month." Jamie and Howie have delivered on their promises, even though I kept going back and asked for this and that, wanted the place to be as perfect as possible. We were provided with good advice and we kinda regretted going against one of their recommendations on the wall colour. It didn't turn out how we expected, but their suggestions on the blinds and furniture helped to fix our mistake on the wall colour and everything turned out great. The additional work and cost on electrical and recommendation on fittings, blinds etc. were reasonable and efficienctly managed by them without us having to be involved in any significant way. As we welcome guests today to our opening, we are grateful for their help and support in turning our dreams to reality. They now have a customer for life. Thank you Howie and Jamie. Regards. As a first-timer doing renovation, I had many uncertainties, but working with Connie turned out to be an incredibly positive experience! From our very first conversation, I felt confident that I was in good hands. She kept me updated regularly, which really helped ease my worries. Connie was attentive, flexible, and worked hard to stay within my budget—something I truly appreciated. Her patience and understanding, especially with my last-minute changes, made the entire process smooth and stress-free. We purchased an old HDB resale and we had a lot of structural difficulties with renovating the unit the way we like it. This is especially in reference to the old bathroom design which the shower and toilet are in the same vicinity without any partition of sorts, and toilet sewage pipes situated at the far end of the bathroom meaning we would step into the wet area before going to the dry area (toilet). I’ve attached pics to show “before” and “after” of the bathroom and what Ivan did to separate the wet from the dry area. Ivan was the only ID who could present a viable solution to this problem without compromising our already small bathroom space whilst also making it cost friendly. It became an obvious decision to pick him as our ID thereafter. Throughout the Reno journey, Ivan was forthcoming, clear, and patient in communicating his designs to us. In terms of cost, we went through appx 15-20 IDs and Ivan’s quote was the best in terms of value for money. Moreover, he also found us plenty of cost efficient methods and designs which did not compromise on aesthetics and quality.

We first met Cheryl and Garry via Hometrust's recommendations eventually decided to proceed with them as they was very detailed in the design thought process and feasibility. Across the discussions and creative revisions, Cheryl was very patient and also understood what we were looking for on both functionality and concept. Most importantly, they were very clear in managing our expectations on the timeline as we were looking to move in quite quickly. Throughout the design phase, Cheryl was proactive in highlighting considerations for certain areas such as the mechanistic stability of a tall cabinet. When it came to the matching of soft furnishings as well, she was very generous with her advise and also helped provide recommendations such as arranging for vendor visits for us to have a look and feel of our sintered stone slab. Overall, she was very responsive and accountable for the project both in terms of construction workmanship and timeline management. This made our renovation experience so much smoother and we were glad to have avoided major renovation blindspots that we now observe from our neighbours. Super happy and will continue recommending her to our friends and family!

I engaged Dan Avenue because I like his Scandinavian designs. Dan was willing to listen to my ideas before incorporating what’s best for my floor plan. Even though he completed the work in February, he still helped me when I feedback on things that need to be fixed (It’s Dec 2024 now.) He helped to liaise with the minor rectification works at no cost. He’s approachable and responsive. I highly recommend Dan Avenue.

My partner and I were looking for an interior designer to design and build our first home and after looking through a number, we chanced upon Louis from Dan Avenue. Louis really took the time to design the home to what we wanted it to look like and he was always there to resolve any issues or changes that we had. Louis was always there to respond to our enquiries and addressed every single issue we were concerned about professionally. We are happy with Louis and Dan Avenue as our ID.
