Hi there everyone, I'm here today to talk about the amazing experience I had from my first renovation. A month and a half back, me and wifey was face with a daunting task of choosing an ID to renovate our house. Went thru tons of review to find that right one. Went thru 5 Ids but the chemistry just wasn't there. With the budget, integrity of ID looming in our mind we thought our first reno was gonna be a mess till I came across Jojo. Probably the modern day wonder women, who easily convince us why she was the right one. With her clear explanations, her honest input and ability to go beyond to understand our needs even when we ourselves haven't talk about it yet. Clear breakdown of cost and rationalise why it cost the way it is. Clear drawings and a complete list of things to prepare. Jojos true superpower is her organisation skills. Organizing 5 contractors to get the job done in a little over 5 weeks with her many ongoing projects, I totally didn't expect that. The workmanship provided is superb. Her communication was top notch with detailed update and future programmes conveyed everyday. Photos of all the work done during the day is updated at night. In all the whole process was really stress free, her ability to make these process effortless is really commendable. And so I can gladly say we gain ourselves a good friend and an amazing ID whom we will not hesitate to recommend to others. If you are looking for a stress free experience she's the one to go to. Me and wife is very grateful that we came across Jojo and definitely made the right choice in appointing her. Her skills combined with her years of experience has really showed on our project. Jojo was absolutely amazing! My wife and I built a new home and had no idea where to start with design and decor. She came swooping in plenty of ideas and styles. She took an extra mile in helping us to visualize by end product by providing excellent examples and sources for the art, furniture, and decor that we need. Jojo is an attentive, responsible and patience designer who listens to our concerns and is able to bring creative ideas to solve our design dilemmas. First of all, our heartfelt thanks to First Dot Design Pte Ltd for designing and renovating our house. Andy is the Chief Designer, led his team which includes Yuting and Shawn who work with us. We started our search for an interior designer after receiving our keys for our home in May. We visited few IDs and they performed well as the role of a Contractor. They listened to what we want and included our wants reactively into the drawing design. We felt that it lacked the role of an ID who should be giving valuable advice or suggestion or even to counter propose better ideas. For us, it is very clear and important that we need to find an ID but a Contractor. One that gives us professional advice instead of just putting our wants into a drawing board. First Dot Design was the 4th ID that we visited. It was really by chance that I found them from Hometrust forum and decided to fix an appointment for a discussion. Our first appointment with Andy was very different with the rest. He proposed what could be done after listening to our needs. Sometimes, he would counter propose on the ideas that we had to make the design better with his sound industry knowledge. He would ask us for our thoughts on his counterproposals and encouraged us to give him our truthful feedback even if it was to shoot his ideas down. We developed a very good rapport with them just after the first visit. A 3D design plan was printed to allow us to view our designed home with all the needs and thoughts that were put in. Follow up meetings were events that we looked forward to as there would be developments in the renovation progress. Like other homeowners, we were mindful that all good things during the Pre-sales stage may change once we put our names on the dotted lines. During the commence to the end of the renovation stage, Andy was the single point of contact. With the help of his team, they helped to coordinate the work and completion of the contractors. During the renovation phase, Andy and his team were at our home more than we did as we were preparing the arrival of our baby. This really helped a lot as this will lessen your burden to do the coordination yourself. There were a number of occasions that they went out all the way to help resolve hiccups caused by us. Sometimes, I felt that they were doing things that was out of their job scope. Yet, there were no complaints. The actual work of our house looks exactly like the 3D design. We are very pleased with their professionalism, acumen and creativity in design. People that are looking for an ID should seriously shortlist them and arrange an appointment to have a discussion. That's one small step for you, one giant leap towards your dream home.

We was welcomed by a cheerful smile from ID Mr Andy at my hubby's parents place when we were looking for ID contractors. When i communicate with him, I felt he is smart, enthusiastic and polite person, he has unique ideas and rich of experience. Mr Andy demonstrate an impressive level of his knowledge and professionalism. A guy that always prepare and advices us on our quries we raised. After received quotation from him, certainly not the cheapest but reasonable, in the personalized contract have showed cost breakdown clearly. I felt that it was openand transparent. We then proceed with his quotatin. The project led by Mr Andy, throughout the renovation process, I realized that he was very patient, he has excellent communication and writing skill, exquisite design level, he kept us updated of every work, process, any hiccups, he took effective means of communication with us promptly, he can stand on the position of the owner, not try to recommend items to increase cost. He also has a high standard for carpentry works. We wished to express our sincere appreciation for his creativity, knowledge and patience in producing our most excellent home theme we wanted. Words can't express our heartfelt thanks for the professional service. My family and friends have been impressed by the high standard of quality shown in his design and finishing. We could recommend Mr Andy to my friends or family members who are looking for renovation. As many of you know that owning your own home comes with great feelings but with great responsibility as well. I was beginning to lose faith in engaging an ID whom is both reliable and trustworthy, as I've read a tad too many bad reviews online. Got to know Andy through recommendation by my friend. From our very first meeting till now, both Andy & Yuting have proved to us that there are still some truly dedicated and genuine individuals who exist in this line. I feel that Andy is a straightforward person and truly is a god sent. He frequently updates us via our WhatsApp group chat to keep us in the loop of what's going on. Andy was understanding and essentially receptive to feedback from us. I have no regrets engaging Andy & Yuting to help us along with our renovation journey. I wanted a simple kitchen with clean lines. First Dot Design delivered a 3D design in the shortest time ever and it turned out better than expected when the whole kitchen was completed! Great job and well don!

I found my ID Andy Chen through the Home Trust recommendations. Despite most of the good reviews for First Dot I read online here, I was still sceptical because I have not heard of them before but decided to give them a try. I had a very good impression of Andy(who is also the chief design officer at First Dot) when I met him during the first meeting. Unlike some of the other IDs from other companies which I met who were quite vague about what they can do for me, Andy was able to grasp what I wanted at an early stage and was able to give good detailed ideas of what I can do for my renovation project, which is a 4 room resale HDB unit. Also he was very enthusiastic about the whole project and I can feel the energy coming from him! He was also ably assisted by his assistant Yuting who did the computer drawings, as well as Shawn who helped immensely with the actual groundwork and site supervision. Andy was able to give us good 3D drawings soon after the initial meet up and we were able to change the designs without any fuss until we were completely satisfied. Next was the detailed time table for the work schedule and we were able to know exactly what was being planned at each stage. Subsequent to that was the detailed workshop drawings and specifications which we went through detail by detail. Andy displayed great technical knowledge and experience throughout the whole process. The renovations work proceeded as planned and although there were a few minor hiccups, these were promptly and adequately addressed and rectified. Hand over of the unit was done on schedule as planned. After hearing quite a lot of horror stories of other people's renovation nightmares, I was initially quite fearful about the whole process. However this fear proved unfounded as Andy was able to deliver a home for me that was really wonderful. I'm glad I put my trust in Andy and First Dot.

It was 2.5 years ago in 2015 that we engaged Jojo as our Interior Designer to renovate our apartment in Singapore. We were then residing in Beijing for 8 years and were planning to relocate back to Singapore in March 2016. We needed someone to help with the renovation while we were still in Beijing and our wish was that we can move straight into our renovated apartment, upon landing in Singapore. Jojo is godsend. She did a first class job in the interior decoration, monitored and coordinated the entire renovation process with the various contractors and continuously updated us on the progress via WhatsApp. The entire renovation was seamless and went smoothly without any major issues. We were able to have complete peace of mind as we have total trust in Jojo's immaculate organizational skills, her attention to every detail and her professionalism. What is even more amazing is that Jojo continues to provide her first class service to us even though we have already lived in our apartment for over 2 years. Her response is immediate whenever we have minor issues or concerns. She will very quickly coordinate with the contractor to come by our apartment asap. We truly enjoy our home and always look forward to coming back to a cosy and comfortable home. Visitors to our home continued to comment on the good quality of the materials used in the renovation and the well interior design and decorations. Like any home owner, we initially set out to source for the best priced quotation and First Dot was one of the many other designers we contacted. What made them Stand out from the rest was their pro active replies and them drafting a design based on the layout of the house which they obtained themselves on the very first day of our appointment. They delivered exactly what we asked for without any setbacks. Everything was completed and handed over to us on the promised date. It was amazing engaging Alloyscious and Danny.... Felt more like we were having discussions with our long lost friends. These guys are definitely highly recommended!
