We thoroughly enjoyed working with Kaden and are extremely happy with the outcome of our home. Kaden is a thoughtful and attentive designer who took the time to understand our needs and personal preferences. He translated these into a design that reflected our personalities while meeting our functional requirements. We worked with Free Space Intent Pte Ltd on the renovation of our 4-room HDB flat, and we’re really happy with the results. Our designer Kaden shared many thoughtful and creative ideas that made the space more functional and comfortable. We especially love the design of our kitchen, master bedroom, and bathroom — everything looks great and feels very well put together. The renovation was completed on schedule, within our budget, and the workmanship was solid throughout. The team was professional, responsive, and easy to communicate with. I am so deeply appreciative of FSI for the renovation of my home. Raymond, Perlinda and Kaden made the renovation process so easy and were truly excellent examples of what a good interior design team should be. Throughout the process they have been flexible, adaptable and very solution-oriented. There are several key features in our home that were suggestions from them and we deeply love them, like the glass wall made of vintage glass blocks. They also worked around our requests customising to our requests like a custom drawer for my various baking trays and a tall, narrow cupboard for our yard (I wanted one to fit our ironing board). While it’s clear FSI has a distinctive (and beautiful!) style, Raymond and Kaden were very open to our requests and made sure we made the design ours. The work done on the home is truly professional, Perlinda’s project management is top notch and we had our house in three short months even though we had to tear the house and build from scratch. We spent majority of those months out of the country but could trust Perlinda to take care of everything and rarely had to check in. The home was close to move in condition when we were back. Trustworthy, careful and also very particular (more than us!) they’re what you imagine a good interior design team is supposed to be. Our home is beautiful and matches the renderings so closely. Very thankful to them for all the hard work!!

We engaged Raymond from FSI after evaluating numerous IDs. He was highly recommended by our Friend. We are impressed with his design and quality of service. Raymond (Designer) and Perlinda (Project Manager) have been very knowledgeable and patience with our numerous requirements. Not forgetting they are very creative with the solution. We even completed renovation earlier than expected. Perlinda has managed the schedule and quality very well. Their contractors like carpenters, painters, plumbers and electrician are also very careful and did a wonderful job. Any issues were also resolved swiftly. My family and friends were also impressed with the quality and design too. We heard many challenges that our neighbours has encountered with other IDs. I have engaged Free Space Intent (FSI) to help me with the renovation of my 5-room HDB flat in December 2021. Due to the extensive renovation work and the various challenges created by the COVID-19 situation, the flat was handed over to me in August 2022. Further touch-ups were needed in the subsequent few months. My wife and I could not be happier with my interior designers Jasmine and Raymond. My wife and I started with a concept as to how we want our home be like, with the intention to do a complete overhaul of the place. Of the 11 ID firms we consulted, only 4 took the effort to follow up with preliminary designs and quotations. FSI’s approach is different from the other IDs: Jasmine created a pictorial image of how the place would be like, based on our requirements, for a fee. This was ideal for us, as I was hesitant on spending a large sum of money on an unknown result. Through a few rounds of adjustments, Jasmine was able to come up with a design that my wife and I were very satisfied with. In fact, we were excited after visualizing how our place might look like. Throughout this process, Jasmine and Raymond were patient and engaging. What was most impressive was that they listened to what we wanted, and came with the design and ideas, along with appropriate advice on what were possible or difficult to achieve, that totally met our demands. They were the only ones brave enough to do what we wanted, without insisting on doing the “tried-and-tested”, and this quality set them apart from the IDs. Indeed, we did not take long to decide to engage FSI to create our dream home. Through out the entire renovation journey, Jasmine and Raymond showed absolute professionalism. Communication was top-notch, and response time to addressing issues was second to none. When my wife and I first laid eyes on the final product, we felt ecstatic. Our home was utterly beautiful. The dream home was complete after the furnishing and fittings were installed. The after-sales services were even better! I would not hesitate to recommend FSI as the go-to interior design firm to create your dream home.

This is our 2nd time working with Raymond (and Perlinda) from Free Space Intent. We first engaged Raymond and team in 2012. We loved the collaboration with Raymond and team, and are extremely happy with the results of the two houses that we did (8+ years apart). Raymond is a thoughtful and attentive designer who takes time to understand you (and your family) as an individual, and tries to figure out the likes and dislikes of each party. He was able to come up with designs that not only matched our personalities, but included our functional requirements. We could tell that it's clearly not a cookie-cutter design but one made out of his acute design sense, attention to details and practicality. It was a breeze working with Raymond and team, as they would provide recommendations on the types of materials such as tiles, wallpaper, etc that are suitable based on their design instead of us having to make individual trips to each different shops to make the selection. Raymond and Perlinda were also upfront and transparent with things they can and cannot do, and was forthcoming about the progress throughout the project, and it helped us manage our expectations and align on alternatives when we needed to. Customer satisfaction is their upmost priority and they shirk no responsibility when it comes to rectifications, even after full payment is made. They focus on helping us resolving any issues that we may encounter even after moving in. At the end of the day, Raymond and team really cares about giving you a happy (and beautiful) home to stay in, and he and his team will do whatever they can to achieve that, from the start, to finish, and including prompt rectifications.

About three months before starting renovation, I started to meet different IDs. Irvin has the best design idea and very pay attention to the details. she is very responsible and organized during the project. She is also very professional for each process. When we discussed the details, it is always very efficient and respond promptly when we had some new request. When the work start, she almost handle everything. Although the price is not the lowest, it is totally worth. I am quite happy to choose Irvin at the first place and definitely recommended.

We have always wanted to place our design and build home renovation project on a trusted company that can take it from start to end with keen design acumen and professional home renovation execution, and we found it with Raymond Seow and his team at FSI. We have benefitted from the distinctive design signature that showed up so clearly from the start and each step of the way. We have been fortunate that the design process shines through with all elements well integrated, and done with close connection to our wishes. Our initial anxiety on the possible disruption due to the unpredictability caused by covid-19 is well mitigated by the meticulous and resourceful execution by Perlinda Too and her team. Her diligence and thinking multiple steps ahead made the project hassle free. We are thankful that we get to live in our home with so much care, passion and attention that Raymond, Perlinda and team have put into this project

I first approached FSI 6 years ago and Irvin was the ID assigned to me. She impressed me with some of her ideas during our conversation but we did not engage her in the end due to a change in plans. When I needed an ID in December last year, I reached out to her immediately without shortlisting anyone else. Before we even started discussions on the design, Irvin made the effort to understand our lifestyle and preferences. We were able to share our feedback and opinions with her candidly as she is very receptive and takes them seriously. The Covid-19 measures kept changing during the renovation period but she managed to keep the project within schedule even though we had to slot in some unexpected minor repairs at the same time. She was frequently on-site to monitor and inspect the progress and updated us with lots of pictures and videos. Even when we encountered some issues outside of her scope, Irvin was able to come up with solutions for us. I was initially skeptical about the finishing of the carpentry works due to the unique design but the workmanship of their contractors/vendors turned out to be much better than I expected. Even after I signed off on the handover, Irvin got her carpenter to change some hinges as she wasn’t satisfied with the existing ones. From what I observed, the contractors and vendors they used are really experienced and Irvin would ensure the workmanship is up to her standard before handover. Price wise they are definitely above average but the value they add is much more than that. Overall the fact that Irvin was easy to work with made the whole renovation process enjoyable and stress-free for us. Would definitely engage Irvin again if I wish to do something for the kids’ room in a few years.
