“10/10 would recommend”
I knew of M2D from a family member who had previously engaged them. I liked how said family member’s home had turned out, and so decided to go with M2D for mine (which is a 3-room resale flat). I am very glad I did, as it was truly a pleasant and stress-free journey from start to end. The whole process began with an initial consultation with Leon. He would walk you through an overview of what the entire reno undertaking entails, the expected timelines, and the estimated costs. Once the preliminary quotation is completed and the client is ready to commit, only then will you make the first deposit for the full works to go ahead. At all times, you would have clarity of what is happening/is going to happen next, and Leon is always ready to clarify if you have any queries or uncertainties. ID - Identifying a credible ID and navigating through the whole reno process can be quite an intimidating experience for someone with zero knowledge in this area, so I was very glad to have Leon at the helm. Leon was very pleasant to work with - he was never pushy or overbearing, but rather provided his ideas and suggestions in a considered and measured manner which exudes the confidence of someone who knows his stuff well. I don’t speak design, but Leon was somehow able to read what I had in mind, which was something simple and not too over-the-top, but yet tasteful and aesthetically pleasing. I also appreciated his patience in explaining why certain things are placed in certain places or in a certain way, and suggesting alternatives that would work just as well without the client incurring unnecessary expenses. Workmanship - The quality of the carpentry is very satisfying; the drawers and swing doors, for instance, are thick and sturdy. It is also very helpful that M2D has their own trusted go-to vendors for certain fixtures (such as lights, aircon, sanitary wares, etc) whom I understand they work with very well and provide after-sales services, which eliminates the need for the client to source for these things on their own. Transparency - M2D is upfront about costs. The quotation provided upon confirmation covers everything that could possibly be done within the agreed scheme of work (barring costs which cannot be specified in advance, such as electrical works or window works - even so, the final costs for mine was not far off from the quotation). Leon was also transparent about the timelines and whether they would be able to deliver should the client have a hard deadline. Overall, mine took approximately just under 12 weeks from the start of reno to handover. All in all, I really have got no complaints. Having M2D handle my reno took a huge chunk of mental load off my headspace, and I’d have no qualms recommending them to others.
