This is my 4th house move and I have to say that this is the best ID company I have engaged so far. Grateful beyond words that Wayne and Si Ting who promptly updated me project status during public holidays and even when they are on leave. Their commitment is recommendable. Being a perfectionist, I went back to Wayne back and forth with multiple last minute requests which he gladly accommodate. What impressed me the most is that he stay committed to deliver and handed over my house within the promised timeline as I need to move in early to avoid the hungry ghost festival. No cutting of corners!! Rectification works that I pointed out was addressed quickly which leave me at ease knowing that my house is in good hands. We engaged The Interior Place, led by designer Candy Ng, for our full home renovation — and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. Despite the large scale of our project — which involved hacking of walls and tiles, retiling almost the entire home, and extensive carpentry and electrical work — Candy managed to deliver the completed renovation within just 7 weeks. This level of efficiency, while maintaining high workmanship standards, truly speaks to her exceptional project management skills and meticulous coordination with multiple contractors. Candy took the time to understand our lifestyle, preferences, and vision before presenting thoughtful design options that were not only beautiful but also practical for day-to-day living. Her design sense is refined yet realistic — she never pushed trends for the sake of it, but rather proposed ideas that enhanced the overall flow, comfort, and aesthetics of our home. The 3D renderings and layout visuals she provided were detailed and accurate, helping us visualise every space clearly before committing to the final design. What we appreciated most was her hands-on approach. Candy personally accompanied my wife and me on numerous visits to suppliers — at least five separate trips — to select our tiles, bathroom fittings, lighting, and other fixtures. She explained the pros and cons of each option, considered maintenance practicality, and ensured that everything chosen harmonised with the overall design theme. Few designers invest this much time and effort to guide clients through every small decision, and it truly made the process enjoyable and stress-free. As with any renovation, there were occasional hiccups along the way — but Candy was always quick to respond, proactive in finding solutions, and effective in liaising with the tilers, carpenters, electricians, and aircon specialists to resolve issues smoothly. Her calm and composed manner gave us great confidence throughout, and we never once had to chase for updates or worry about delays. Candy also provided regular progress updates, often sharing photos and messages to keep us informed of milestones. Her transparency and communication made the entire journey seamless, especially since we were on a tight schedule due to the handover timeline of our previous home. We are so lucky n blessed to have engaged The interior place for our new home. Sebastian and Wayne are so patient and detailed throughout our whole project. They literally held our hands through every little steps and guided us along while giving creative yet constructive ideas. They are also very open and receptive to changes along the way n accommodating to our indecisiveness . Before engaging The Interior Place, we were worried as we had heard horror stories about certain ID firms, but after meeting and speaking to Wayne n Sebastian, we felt assured and confident for them to handle our project. As we bought an old condo, lots of works needs to be done, in fact, we did up the whole place totally n along the way they will always advise us n gives us suggestions, but never pushed us to make decisions. They always give us sufficient time n room to decide what we want. I wanted to highlight another point on why we choose The Interior Place is because the 1st time we stepped into their office, we were greeted with smiles n warmth from everyone in their office even though our appointment was with Wayne n Sebastian, this shows that there’s good culture in the company and the employees are all happy working there. Thereafter, every appointment we went to their office, we were always greeted with smiles from everyone and they will offer drinks n snacks . I always believed that if the employees are happy, the boss must be good ☺️. All the other contractors that they engaged for our project were all very friendly and efficient too. Everyone who visited our home complimented the workmanship and design. Personally I think it’s really difficult to find a trustworthy and reliable ID firm, the kind that put themselves in your shoes and work like they are doing their own house. We do have a little hiccup, but that’s part n parcel of renovation n they are very swift to address to make it all right. That’s why I said, we bought a house n they make it into a home. This time, as we were expecting twins, we were delighted to be working with them again as it gave us peace of mind.
