Our experience with this company in year 2025 was extremely disappointing. There were so many issues throughout our renovation that it is difficult to know where to begin.
1) Unprofessional Communication and Attitude.
Michael, who was in charge of our new house and is also the company boss, was extremely disappointing in the way he communicated with us.
Despite there being outstanding defects that had not been properly resolved, Michael accused us of delaying payment. We did not intentionally delay payment. We wanted to inspect the completed works and outstanding defects before making the payment, which we believe is a reasonable expectation for any homeowner.
During our WhatsApp conversation, he also brought up the issue of “politeness” while communicating with us. Most shockingly, he made the following remark:
“U all pray to Guanyin ma one, I also, her teaching is like this huh?”
We found this comment highly inappropriate, disrespectful and completely unnecessary, especially coming from the owner of a renovation company during a discussion about workmanship, defects and payment.
For us, the issue was not simply about renovation defects. It was also about how the contractor handled problems, took responsibility, communicated with us and treated us as customers.
2) Poor management and supervision:
When we questioned the lack of supervision, Michael explained that his way of operating was different from other contractors because he “trusts” his workers to carry out the work. Unfortunately, the end result did not give us confidence in that approach. Numerous defects occurred and many mistakes were only discovered because we, as homeowners, had to identify and point them out ourselves.
Michael also explained that he could not stay on site to supervise because he was suffering from back pain. While we can understand that personal health issues can affect his ability to be physically present, we believe there should still have been proper arrangements for a competent person to supervise the workers and ensure the quality of the work.
3) Poor quality workmanship and knowledge:
We encountered numerous workmanship issues throughout the renovation, including:
1. Water ponding in the toilets, which was left unresolved.
2. Tiles damaged during the renovation due to poor handling and workmanship.
3. Toilet doors that could not close properly, despite the renovation being completed.
4. Loose and faulty toilet door handles that required attention.
5. Walls that were not properly painted, with uneven and unsatisfactory finishing.
6. Paint started peeling just a few months after the renovation was completed. Given how quickly the paint began to peel, we were left questioning whether proper surface preparation and painting procedures had been followed, or whether corners were cut during the renovation.
7. Multiple other defects and incomplete rectification works that remained unresolved.
8. Many of these issues could have been identified and prevented with proper on-site supervision and quality checks.
9: Power Tripped my whole house when the workers wanted to install a kitchen hanging rack. No proper checking before drilling thus power tripped my whole house.
10. Lack of accountability: Whenever something went wrong, we felt that there were always explanations and excuses instead of taking proper responsibility for the defects.
11. Delays caused by repeated rectification: Because work was repeatedly done incorrectly and had to be redone, the entire renovation process was delayed and became extremely stressful.
12. Unresolved defects but payment still being pursued: What was most upsetting was that there were still unresolved defects in our home, yet a debt collector was sent to pursue the outstanding payment.
This review is based on our actual experience with the renovation of our home, and we are sharing it so that other homeowners can make a more informed decision.
DesignDrawing, yes. But when it came to the actual work, things were done wrongly and measurements were not properly checked. There was clearly no proper checking or coordination before the work was carried out.
For example, the microwave placement was supposed to be at eye level. I had already informed Michael that the drawing was wrong, but in the end, the carpentry was still done according to the incorrect drawing. Now, every time I need to use the microwave, I have to stand on a chair to reach it. This is not acceptable and is also a safety concern.
When instructions and corrections are given, they should be taken seriously and properly communicated to the workers. There seems to be a lack of proper planning, checking and coordination throughout the work.
There are also so many defects that I have raised, but I do not see them being properly recorded or followed up by Michael anywhere. This gives me the impression that there is no proper defect tracking or quality control process in place.
I am very disappointed with the way the work has been handled. I expected proper planning, measurements, checking and follow-up, rather than having to repeatedly point out the same issues after the work has already been completed.
WorkmanshipThe workmanship has been very disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. There have been repeated mistakes, incorrect installations and poor finishing throughout the renovation. The team and workers do not seem to be sufficiently skilled or careful, and at times it feels like the work is being done without proper attention to detail or proper checking.
For example, even something as simple as installing a door handle was done incorrectly, with the handle installed upside down. These are basic installation details that should have been checked before the work was handed over.
The workmanship for the gate is also totally unacceptable. The quality of the materials and installation is poor. During the installation, the keyhole was drilled incorrectly and there are numerous scratches and damages on the gate. This should not have happened, especially for a new gate.
There have also been repeated mistakes in measurements. Incorrect measurements have resulted in many items having to be redone, which has caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience.
Overall, there appears to be a serious lack of proper planning, measurement, supervision and quality control. I should not have to repeatedly identify basic mistakes after the work has already been completed.
I paid for a properly planned and professionally executed renovation, but the quality of workmanship and attention to detail so far has fallen far below what I expected. I cannot accept this level of workmanship and expect the outstanding defects and incorrect work to be properly addressed, with better supervision and quality control moving forward.
Customer ServiceUnprofessional Communication and Attitude
Michael, who was in charge of our project and is also the company owner, was extremely disappointing in the way he communicated with us.
Despite there being outstanding defects that had not been properly resolved, Michael accused us of delaying payment. We did not intentionally delay payment. We wanted to inspect the completed works and outstanding defects before making the payment, which we believe is a reasonable expectation for any homeowner.
Instead of addressing our concerns professionally and focusing on resolving the defects, we felt that he chose to pressure us regarding payment.
During our WhatsApp conversation, he also brought up the issue of “politeness” while communicating with us. Most shockingly, he made the following remark:
“U all pray Guanyin ma one, I also, her teaching is like this huh?”
We found this comment highly inappropriate, disrespectful and completely unnecessary, especially coming from the owner of a renovation company during a discussion about workmanship, defects and payment.
As a company owner, we expected him to communicate calmly, professionally and respectfully, particularly when we were raising legitimate concerns about defects in our new home.
For us, the issue was not simply about renovation defects. It was also about how the contractor handled problems, took responsibility, communicated with us and treated us as customers. Unfortunately, our experience in all of these areas was extremely poor.

Value for MoneyIn terms of value for money, I honestly feel that this renovation has been a complete waste of my time and money. I deeply regret engaging your company to renovate my new home.
For a new home, I expected a professional team with proper planning, skilled workmanship, good supervision and attention to detail. Instead, I have had to deal with repeated mistakes, poor workmanship, rework, defects and unnecessary delays.
The renovation has caused me a great deal of stress, inconvenience and disappointment. Rather than enjoying my new home, I am constantly having to follow up on problems and defects that should have been properly checked by the team in the first place.
I am especially disappointed with the way my concerns have been handled by Michael. As the boss, I expected him to take ownership of the issues and ensure that they were properly resolved, rather than having me repeatedly chase and highlight the same problems.
Considering the amount I have paid, I do not feel that I have received the level of service, workmanship or professionalism that represents good value for money.
I sincerely regret choosing this company for my new home renovation.
