We recently did a complete overhaul of our place, hacking down all the previous renovations to start completely fresh. Engaging Junhao as our ID was the best decision we made for this massive project. From our initial meetings, Junhao was incredibly attentive. He took note of all our requirements and thoughtfully incorporated them into his design, while also offering great suggestions from a professional standpoint. His aesthetic sense is excellent, and the final result is exactly what we wanted—the actual outcome has almost zero discrepancy from the 3D renders! Budget-wise, the overall pricing was very reasonable and highly transparent. Every single item on the quotation was listed out clearly, and he took the time to explain everything to us. Even for the Variation Orders later on, the exact details of the additions and omissions were crystal clear. Whenever we needed to add something new, Junhao would always discuss it with us first, ensuring we understood all the details before proceeding. During the renovation period, he frequently went down to the site to supervise the work, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. His responsibility doesn't stop after the handover, either. When we noticed that one of our cabinet doors was installed in the wrong direction, Junhao was super prompt and quickly arranged for the carpenter to come over and replace it. Highly recommend Junhao to anyone looking for a reliable, transparent, and talented ID!

We would like to thank Mike and Vin from Visionary Interior for their help with our home renovation. Overall, it was a very positive experience working with them. What I appreciated most was that they took the time to understand what we wanted and were always open to our ideas and requirements. At the same time, they shared their own suggestions and recommendations when they felt there was a better or more practical way to approach something. This made it easier for us to make decisions throughout the renovation. They were also responsive whenever we had questions or wanted to discuss changes. We felt that they genuinely wanted to achieve a good outcome for our home rather than simply completing the renovation. There will always be many decisions and details to manage during a renovation, but having a team that is willing to listen, communicate and work together makes a big difference. From the start, when we were still selecting IDs, James stood out for suggesting to meet on site for the first meeting to make a sticker layout straightaway so that we could visualise if the furnishings would fit. And even before we selected him, he was already on site with us during the BSC defects check. I think it was this hands-on can-do attitude and enthusiasm that won us over. We had long overseas work commitments during the renovations and we needed a project manager who would be detailed, proactive and organized. James delivered on all fronts. Timely updates, multiple design suggestions based on other projects that he's working on, reliable follow-up and fast turnaround. There was an occasion during carpentry installation where he pre-empted us that there might be a potential problem. But James and his team solved it wonderfully on their own without adding any worries to us. Even right to the handover day, James was sanding down our skirting trimmings himself. We were working with a modest budget and had concerns about managing our home renovations while being busy with work overseas. But working with James has given us a peace of mind and the outcome is truly beautiful. It's actually sad now to close this working relationship chapter with him. All the very best James Wee!

Being a first-time homeowner can be pretty daunting, especially when you've heard one too many renovation horror stories. After going back and forth with about 8 different IDs, I'm so glad I eventually found Penny from Renologist. What I appreciate most about Penny is that she's not just an ID who tells you what you want to hear. She's professional, warm, patient, and most importantly, honest. She's never afraid to tell me when I'm being a little "delulu" with my ideas ?, and I genuinely appreciate that. I wanted someone who would give me honest advice, challenge my decisions when needed, and not just agree with everything I said. Penny has been exactly that. Over the past few months, she's become so much more than just my ID. She's been my rock through the entire process, helping me navigate decisions (and my endless indecisiveness), offering advice even on things that are completely outside her scope, and making what could have been a very stressful experience feel so much more manageable. I also have to give credit to the contractors, plumbers and everyone involved in the renovation. They've been great to work with, and Penny has been fantastic at coordinating everything. Her turnaround time is incredibly quick, whether it's answering my questions, following up on something or getting things sorted with the team. I never feel like I have to chase her, which honestly takes so much stress out of the process. And it's not just about getting the job done. It's knowing that I have someone I can trust, who genuinely cares and has my best interests at heart. That, to me, has made all the difference. We've all heard of renovation nightmares, but I can confidently say that I've actually enjoyed mine. And a huge part of that is thanks to Penny. Thank you, Penny, for going above and beyond, for putting up with my endless questions and occasional delulu moments, and for making this whole experience a lot less scary and a lot more enjoyable. I had an extremely positive experience working with Si Ming from Starry Homestead for my home renovation. Si Ming is meticulous, has a keen eye for detail, and can remember my needs and preferences very well. He consistently incorporates them into his design proposals. What impressed me most was his ability to balance my design preferences and fengshui master's requirements with aesthetics and practicality. His creativity in finding solutions, together with the original bedroom design he proposed for my son which won my son (and hence me) over, were key reasons I chose Starry Homestead. Si Ming made the renovation journey much less overwhelming for a layperson by breaking the process down into smaller, manageable steps. He patiently explained the options, from tiles to lighting and other design elements. I appreciated his guidance in helping me make informed decisions without feeling rushed. I also learnt a lot about design from him throughout the journey. Despite me making several quirky requests, what truly stood out was how professionally and open-mindedly Si Ming handled them. He believes there is a reason behind every request and always explores solutions and strives to find a "yes". Even when I changed my mind or found new ideas gathered from the internet subsequently, he remained patient and accommodating wherever possible. Si Ming is incredibly dedicated to his projects, responding to messages after working hours and even when he became a new dad. He takes pride in his projects and is always ready with helpful opinions on matching furniture and furnishings. The workmanship by Starry Homestead was excellent, with little cause for complaint given Si Ming's careful quality checks every step along the way. More importantly, Si Ming remained responsive and helpful even after handover, promptly attending to issues identified. This level of commitment beyond handover speaks volumes about his dedication to his clients and his genuine desire to help them achieve their dream home. Having heard many renovation horror stories, I had braced myself for challenges but was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and positive the entire experience was. Although Starry Homestead's quotation was not the most cost-competitive, the quality of workmanship, service and personal attention made up for the difference. My heartfelt thanks to Si Ming for his dedication, patience and thoughtfulness in turning my ideas into a cosy dream home that I can enjoy for many years to come. After meeting about 10 IDs through Homematch and Qanvast, we are so glad we chose Michael Li from Carpenters to guide us through the renovation of our resale HDB flat. Michael is humble, a good listener, and attentive to our needs. He was incredibly patient with every request I had, big or small. He also accompanied us on multiple trips to select tiles and laminates, giving us time to make choices we felt comfortable with. Throughout the renovation, Michael visited the site frequently to monitor progress. His good rapport with his tiler and carpenter helped keep things coordinated. When defects needed attention, he listened to our concerns and promptly arranged for the fixes. He was always well mannered and reliable, which gave us peace of mind. What we especially appreciate is his continued support after handover. Whenever I call for minor assistance, he still responds with the same patience and care. Carpenters truly lives up to its slogan: 有你在，就是家。 Now that we have moved in, I find myself missing the partnership we shared throughout this journey.
