Hi everyone, I am looking to get my 1br flat soon. Hope to make it a flexible space which has my own private area while still have a common area which I can host my friends and guest.

Saw this youtube channel which has many creative ideas for studio and smaller spaces, to make them multi-use and more versatile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daL7TkzyW7k.

I see that most small space flats design spaces to be multi-use (as many purposes as possible), often with furniture that are able to be hidden too. Privacy is often achieved by some form of blinds or sliding doors. These are all features I am considering to implement.

Any studio/1Br owners here's to share ideas?

I have been to some friends' studio/1-br apartment. They usually achieve privacy/separation of space with the user of some form of partition. The most common type of partition I see is a sliding/flooding door, along with a full-height internal curtain inside. This seems to be the most flexible solution which allows all combination of light/sound requirements.

If you have a small space you should focus more on good light and air. Having big enough windows that provide natural light and fresh air in all corners of a room. This will also help you for saving electricity.
