Wondering which is more cost effective?

For context I'm renovating a 5 room whole house.

Got lots of cupboards and beds to throw or otherwise store in rented storage.

Anyone who has some experience to share on this?

Another option is to sell, but doubt anyone wants them as they're too bulky and need to hire movers.

Smallest storage is around 400 to 600 SGD. And they usually come in 3 months minimum too. Can weight this cost against your budget.

Just throw... good chance to clear away all the unused items. Don't be a hoarder 😝

I’ve been in a similar situation when renovating, and bulky furniture can definitely be tricky. Renting storage is convenient if you think you’ll want to reuse the cupboards and beds later, but the costs add up quickly, especially for several months. If you’re not attached to them, it might be worth listing them online for free or very cheap, you'd be surprised how many people will come with their own transport just to get furniture, even bulky pieces. Another option is checking if your local council offers bulk collection or recycling services. In my case, I managed a mix: kept only the pieces I really needed in storage and gave away/sold the rest, which saved space and money.
